How We Rate and Review Operators

Star ratings only mean something if the process behind them is consistent, documented and independent. This page explains exactly how each score on this site is produced.

Our review methodology

Each review is carried out by a single named analyst over a minimum of two weeks, using a real, identity-verified account funded with our own money. The analyst follows a fixed checklist of more than sixty test points, from registration friction to the wording of bonus clauses, and keeps timestamped notes that editors can audit.

We never accept pre-written copy from operators, and operators do not see reviews before publication.

Rating categories and weighting

The overall star rating is a weighted average of six category scores. Payments and trust carry the most weight because they matter most when something goes wrong.

CategoryWeightWhat we measure
Licensing & trust25%Licence verification, corporate transparency, RG tools
Payments25%Real deposit/withdrawal tests, limits, fees, speed

Customer support10%Response times, answer quality, channel coverage

Testing accounts, deposits and withdrawals

Every operator is tested with at least three deposits across different methods and at least one full withdrawal, including the identity-verification step. The processing times printed in our payment tables are what we actually experienced — not what the operator advertises.

Editorial independence and affiliate disclosure

This site is funded through affiliate commissions: when a reader clicks through to an operator and registers, we may be paid. That relationship never changes a score, the order of recommendations, or our willingness to publish negative findings. Analysts are paid salaries, not per-signup commissions, and the methodology above applies identically to partners and non-partners.

How often reviews are updated

Reviews carry a "last updated" date and are re-tested on a rolling schedule: a full re-test at least every twelve months and a terms-and-payments check every six. We also re-open a review immediately whenever a licence status, bonus structure or payment line-up changes, or when reader reports flag a discrepancy.

Reviews exist to inform, not to encourage play. If gambling stops being entertainment, see our responsible gambling resources.
